Resolution on the Elaboration of Complementary Standards to the International Covention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination

At the closing of its 13th session, March 25, 2010, the Human Rights Council adopted without a vote, a "Revised Draft Resolution on the Elaboration of Complementary Standards to the International Covention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination".

Earlier in the session Nigeria submitted a "Draft on the Elaboration of complementary standards to the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination" on behalf of the African Group.

The United States also tabled a "Draft Resolution on the Ad Hoc Committee on the elaboration of complementary standards" but on March 25th this draft was withdrawn.
