January 5, 2011 - High Commissioner Navi Pillay issued "Report on the implementation of Human Rights Council resolution 15/6"

September 29, 2010 - The Human Rights Council adopted resolution on the "Follow-up to the report of the Committee of independent experts in international humanitarian and human rights law established pursuant to Council resolution 13/9" (The Goldstone Report) at its 15th Regular Session

  • The resolution was adopted by a recorded vote of 27 in favor to 1 against, with 19 abstentions.
    • In favor: Angola, Argentina, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Cuba, Djibouti, Ecuador, Gabon, Ghana, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritania, Mauritius, Nigeria, Pakistan, Qatar, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Thailand, Uganda, and Uruguay.
    • Against: USA
    • Abstain: Belgium, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chile, France, Guatemala, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Republic of Korea, Republic of Moldova, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and Zambia.

September 27, 2010 - The "Committee of independent experts" presented its report at the 15th Regular Session of the UN Human Rights Council

September 21, 2010 - The "Committee of independent experts" charged with monitoring compliance with the Goldstone Report issued "Report on follow-up to the report of the United Nations Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict"

August 30, 2010 - The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights issued "Report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on follow-up to the report of the United Nations Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict"

August 11, 2010 - The UN Secretary-General issued "Report of the Secretary-General: Second follow-up to the report of the United Nations Fact-Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict"

June 14, 2010 - The UN Human Rights Council held its 14th Regular Session and announced names of "independent experts" charged with monitoring compliance with the Goldstone Report.

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay, announced the membership of "a committee of three independent experts" charged with monitoring compliance with the Goldstone Report.

The three experts are Professor Christian Tomuschat (Chair), Justice Mary McGowan Davis and Mr. Param Cumaraswamy.

March 25, 2010 - The UN Human Rights Council held its 13th Regular Session and adopted a resolution on the follow-up to the Goldstone Report.
